newEar & Owen/Cox Dance Group present On April 29: 7:15PM pre-concert discussion with composers HyeKyung Lee and Brad Cox* On April 30: Post-concert talk-back with performers and composers Admiration and respect continue to attract newEar contemporary chamber ensemble to the dynamic work of the Owen/Cox Dance Group. In forging an inaugural creative partnership, newEar and Owen/Cox engage in actively fulfilling their respective missions with sweeping comprehension. This collaboration promises to broach new frontiers of expectation and stimulation for audience and performer alike; and will provide a contribution to the increasingly vibrant creative life of Kansas City. newEar seizes this opportunity to share with Owen/Cox our mutual mandate to commission and perform the music and dance of our time, thereby creating art expressly to challenge and innovate. Concert Elements: Worker’s Union** – Louis Andriessen All pieces will be choreographed by Owen/Cox Dance Group.
General admission tickets: $20.00 and are purchased from the Union Station website. Student tickets: $10.00 upon presentation of valid student identification in person at the Union Station box office only. *Ms. Lee’s availability is made possible through Meet the Composer’s MetLife Creative Connections program.
