In addition to performing with newEar, Lyra Pringle Pherigo enjoys playing with the Kansas City Symphony and the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra.  She appears frequently as a soloist playing duo recitals with her husband, Robert Pherigo. Her favorite collaborative recital was played in Paris for their 25th wedding anniversary. As a singer, Pherigo has sung with the Kansas City Chorale and is a section leader at Unity Temple on the Plaza. She received a BM (Arizona State University) and MM in flute performance (Northwestern University) and is currently working on an Education Certificate from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri.
